I'm a scientist and educator based in NYC focusing on socio-ecological dynamics of urban ecosystems with a proven track record of leadership, scholarship, and funding.
Over the last 10 years, I've focused on building a bridge between the scientific community and the broader public.
Currently, I work at the Wildlife Conservation Society's Bronx Zoo where my research focuses on urban ecology, restoration, conservation, and science education. I co-developed and manage Project TRUE (Teens Researching Urban Ecology), an urban ecology research mentoring program for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students. From October 2019 to April 2020 I'm cycling from the Bronx Zoo in NYC to Karukinka Natural Park, which is at the southern tip of South America.
